03:17 am - Thieves in the dorm?
This is retarded, both me and my roomate have had money stolen out of our wallets recently, but we just confirmed it tonight >__< Before both of us chalked it up to just us spending it and then forgetting that we had spent it, but both of us had gone to the bank today and then tonight, poof, the money's gone. Wtf? Who steals money from students?? And in our dorms too!! Grrr....

Warning to anyone else living in dorm/planning to live in dorm next year, lock your doors even if you leave the room for 2 minutes and keep your wallets somewhere safe!

[EDIT]: On a completely different topic, I wish you can add-on the 100 userpics option to non-paying accounts /: I don't want or need all those other things that comes with the paid-accounts and so I don't want to pay 25 bucks for it (not like I have the money to waste anyway), but I _do_ wish I get to use more of my ZhaoZhao userpics I made tonight ;__;

[EDIT 2]: Note to self, fangirling at 6am after not sleeping all night is not a good idea as spontaneous bouts of insane laughter will want to burst out until your stomach hurts and you start crying from laughing so hard for apparently no reason. It is especially not a good idea when the roomate in the room is sleeping XDD

MOney taken right out of your room? That sucks! Do you know if anyone else on the floor has had money stolen as well? I hope it wasn't alot... even though any money is still horrible. Also, wouldn't it have to be someone that knows where you keep your wallet in the room? Or, had you left it on your desk or something.

Actually, that would be difficult to narrow down since your roomie has a trillion people parading in and out all the time. Hmm.

Well apparently my roomate said she also had money taken out of her wallet and her wallet was just sitting on top of her desk while mine was in my drawer. It so happened that last night, most of the floor was gone on this skiing trip, my roomate went too but didn't bring her wallet.

The only time I had left the room was to go downstairs to the vending machine and I didn't lock the door cuz we almost never lock the door here since there's always people going in and out.

My roomate said she had 2 twenties taken while I lost 1 twenty. But we both think it's happened before yet we just never thought someone took it, instead just assuming we spent it and forgot. This sucks so bad >:

LOLOL...you'd think the safest place to be would be at the university in general,but your experience and what has recently happened here at Western proves that wrong.There were hold-ups on main campus and at King's UC (where I,Christine,and the Liz's go)involving guns and stolen laptops and credit cards.Sad eh?Hopefully it doesn't happen to you or your roommate again.Take care-James

Yeah. I know it sucks, but it's unfortunately a fact of life. As you said yourself, students aren't exactly the most well off people, so it can be hard to resist the temptation to enrich your pockets when the opportunity is there. Unfortunately, for every 99 people who are good, and honest, and wouldn't do something like that, there is 1 who will go and spoil it for everyone. I really wish it wouldn't happen, but you do need to be careful. Even if it's just closing your door (and leaving it unlocked), do it. A lot of times, the tiniest impediment will stop a cowardly crook from going through with it. After all, then they'd have to waste time checking if the door was locked or unlocked, increasing the chances of them getting caught. But yeah...it's best to always lock your door. You should have also noticed by now that it's not that hard for people who don't live in the dorm to get in. That fact should make you doubly careful. *nodnod*

Yeah, definitely locking my door from now on even if I go out for a few minutes
