|11:29 am - Animate adventure :D|
Yesterday during lunchtime I made the mistake of going into our local Animate store (it's only about a 2 minute walk from where I work). I had heard about Animate of course, my Japanese roommate told me lots about the one in Tokyo, but actually seeing so much anime just about blew me over. It was a lot smaller than the one in Tokyo I'm sure, the HQ in Tokyo being several stories high, but even so I was almost dancing with glee at the goodies I saw. Hetalia merchandise, Kuroshitsuji merchandise, Prince of Tennis, musical AND anime merchandise, WOW!
The best was when I ran into the doujinshi section, I totally didn't expect Animate to have a dj section but there it was, all those lovely dj's I had seen on ebay right in front of me. I wanted so bad to find a Russia/China doujinshi, or just any dj with China as the main character, but to my disappointment it was mostly US/UK or US/Japan :( WHERE'S MY LOVERLY ROCHU?!?!?!
To my dear friends on my f-list, aside from Animate where else might one go for doujinshi if one's not in Tokyo? Does Book-Off have dj's for sale? I have some requests for some dj's but they're a lot tougher to find since it's not official manga and therefore most bookstores don't carry them.
Mandarake~ \o/ At least I think that's how you spell it?
LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of fabulous doujinshi. They have several shops around Japan, although I'm not overly sure if there's one really close by to you~ <3 If there is, check it outtttttttt <3
