|02:31 pm - Taking flight...to Japan~|
2 checked in luggage - packed. 23kg/50lbs each (wtf, that's a craptastic weight limit. Stupid airlines keep pushing down the weight limits. My suitcases can still fit tons more stuff in them but I can't because of the darn weight limit)
1 carry-on luggge - packed. 10kg/22lbs
1 purse - packed to the brim.
1 laptop carrier - packed to the brim.
December 3rd - 12:00pm
Take off from Toronto airport
December 4th - 3:05 pm (Japan time...so about 3am in Toronto)
Land in Tokyo Narita airport
December 4th - 5:45pm
Take off from Narita airport
December 4th 7:55pm
Land in Fukuoka airport where I will be having a week's training and then carted off to Nagasaki.
Let's hope with all of that none of the luggage gets lost, and I don't forget anything important, and I don't get lost, and I don't miss my flight, and none of the flights get delayed...I always get nervous in airports because my overall impression of the workers there from the security to the check-in people is that they're so mean :( Granted they're just following protocol but the protocols are sometimes so dumb, like the limits on the liquids you can/can't bring, the amount, etc., etc. Like when I give them my keys and stuff to go through security I get nervous just knowing I have a little nail clipper on my keychain, because I don't even know if those things are allowed on airlines anymore or not OTL
Considering I've already packed my bags to their full capacity where weight limit on airlines is concerned that means for the year I'm in Japan I either can't buy anything that I'll need to bring back or I'll have to throw things away if I buy new things. Yippy-yay. Or I guess I can always ship things by post before I come back but that's such a hassle...incentive not to buy, buy, buy. You should see all the stuff I have. My mom rented a cargo van to lug all my stuff from Ottawa to her home and we packed it from ceiling to floow with things, it's crazy. Just buy food and maybe a souvenir or two, and only buy things like clothes if I plan to through my old ones out *nodnods*
It's also kind of crappy I only got to stay with my mom for 3 days ;__; I wanted to stay here longer with her, lounge around the house, eat yummy homemade meals, etc., etc. but 3 days is all I get *sniff* And now I might not get to see her for a whole yeeeeeeeear T__T Gotta make sure I email often, post photos *nodnods* At least she has a kitty in the house and my fish now to keep her company somewhat (please don't let the cat eat my fish >__<). Hopefully when I come back from Japan I'll get to stay with her a little longer before I head off to...wherever I plan to head off to next...or she can come visit me in Japan or something :D
Yoshii....Trip Japan 2009/10 HERE I COME!!
Make sure to bring extra deodorant!! I hear the sticks in Japan suck. XDXD
I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE LEAVING TOMORROW
HAVE SAFE FLIGHTSSSSSSS
And be sure to post asap!
Have a good flight nya! And a safe tripppppppp~ <3
Waiii, that's exciting \:D/
I hope you have heaps of fun. C:
Yeah, send things back home, cheapest option, surface mail aka sea mail?
I'm excited that you're coming... even though we're at opposite ends of the country. Incentive to go visit... er, during cooler days that is. I can't imagine being any hotter than I get during summer up here.
And, a word of... caution perhaps? I dunno. I go through money here like a parched man does water in a desert. It's such a materialistic society. And they like new... new, new, new. Plus add in other interests such as any fandoms and etc. Dear God.
Lemme know your address when you get it! ^^
