|06:50 pm - Dying of heat|
Ugh, it's been so hot for this past weekend in Ottawa >_< Up near the 30 degrees (Celsius) range and with humidity and all that it "feels like" around 40 degrees during the afternoons according to theweathernetwork.com *dies* I've had my little fan on 24hrs a day as long as I'm home but even the wind it blows is like...hot wind. It's all hot, muggy and icky and it makes me not want to move because if I even budge an inch I start sweating. The stupid weather network says it's suppose to rain, but it's been saying that for days now and all we got was a brief shower this morning that did NOTHING to cool the temperature down. A thunderstorm is predicted for tonight and I damn well hope it'll be delivered because if this weather continues much longer I'm going to set up a tent in a shopping centre or somewhere else that has AC. I hate, hate, hate hot, humid weather, I can handle cold so much better than heat (of course granted -30 degrees doesn't feel that awesome either).
We've been battling the heat here too. There's only two ACs in this apartment and they don't reach our bedroom, plus we were keeping the door closed because of issues with the cats. Now it's gotten so bad, we don't even care if the cats come in and bug our other cat. IT'S TOO DAMN HOT. I think she prefers it too.
We have three fans in here to try and keep cool. XD
Yeah apparently this heat wave is affecting a lot of places, wonder if it's global warming related or what-not. It sucks that without AC you can't even relax at home where it's suppose to be like, our personal sanctuary or whatever.
I feel your pain, it is the same situation in the GTA x.x
These days it's such a pain to go outside or even inside the car, make me wish it was fall already Dx
Do your best to stay cool and drink lots of water!
Ugh, I can't even imagine in the GTA since with it being a larger city than Ottawa I would imagine that would drive the temperature up even more. I might just have to camp out under my desk at my workplace for the next few days if it doesn't let up XD
I have 4 fans... 2 blowing air in, 1 blowing air out and one I use to blow air around the house with.
I have been sleeping a bit past 9pm so that it cools down enough or me to move around and get things done.
I'll be glad when school starts since school is airconditioned.
It sucks, as soon as the sun starts peeking up I can literally feel the room getting stuffier as the minutes go by.
I keep forgetting you guys have summer at the moment. D:
It's oddly cold down here, considering we keep having sunny weather. D: D:
-30? damn. I think for us, considering there's no snow the lowest is 12 or -4 degrees?
-4??? Holy crap, negative anything above 10 is like, heaven for us here in the winter. At 0 degrees when the winter's coming to a close we start seeing people break out the shorts and t-shirts already. It gets to the point here that everyone starts throwing on layers after layers of clothing in an attempt to make the 3 minutes walk from our doorway to the bus station and trying not to breathe too hard because you feel your nostrils freezing up with each inhale XD
