|06:21 am - The process of tossing Free Trade down the molehole.|
So much for "free trade". You know, I don't really care what policies a country pursues, if the government of that country feels that certain policies would benefit its country then it ought to pursue them since it has that obligation as the government of its country. I do, however, have a problem with countries that go around promoting (more like shoving down the throats of other countries) one policy then BAM turns around and does the exact opposite at home.
I finally get what "free trade" means when the politicians and economists promote it. It means let everyone else open their borders so that we can take their money without barriers but let us put up walls so the money can't get out of our own country. Brilliance.
I've been here bits and pieces about this Hetalia comic/anime. I downloaded those two 5-minute video clips but they were too short to let me decide whether I liked it or not O___o
That Canada strip is hilarious though, and I took a peek through that community and totally fell in love, lol. Omgz, Russia/China slash? XDDDDD
I'm just wondering if after this economic crisis we'll still see the agressive push for "free trade".
Things won't be the same again. For good or for bad.

LOLOLOL! No really?! The hypocrisy of capitalism & neo-liberal economics is finally being acknowledged by those morons in Ottawa & Washington! Who friggin' cares anymore...why don't we all give in to those latent socialist ideals lurking beneath that pretty veneer of capitalism already?-James
We'll call it Capitalism with Canadian characteristics, XDDD
