Ok, so the job's not THAT bad.

Lol, so my last post I was bitching about my new job and how it wasn't quite what I thought it was, today after a 4hr shift I guess it's not so bad.  Don't get me wrong, it's still not quite what I thought it was, I thought I'd be sitting in an office answering telephones and making schedules, photocopying and filing, but instead I found myself at a Loblaws (a chain grocery store) asking people if they'd be interested in making a monetary or food donation to the Ottawa Food Bank.  My legs are killing me since I haven't stood for 4hr shifts since I stopped working at Zellers in 2005, and I felt like a broken record, but a) I've learned to smile like a maniac for 4hrs straight and b) I've learned to take rejection a lot better than 4hrs ago XDD

It really helped I had 2 other people with me so we chatted and laughed while doing the work, if it was myself I'd probably have hid in a corner and cried after the first rejection or something.  When I first got there I was horrified to go up to people to ask for donations, by the end I was hopping around (albeit the fact that my legs killed had something to do with that too, lol).

It also helped my self-esteem when early into the shift I got hit on XDD  The guy wasn't bad looking either, and thankfully he managed to flirt without being all creepy too.  My co-worker beside me was laughing the whole time XD

It was suppose to rain today too, and this morning it was all cloudy and grey, but now it's all blue skies and sunny.  As I walked back from work I was actually quite happy.  Tomorrow we're going to Chapters (chain bookstore) for 3 hrs, hopefully it'll end on as high a note as it did today :D  Thanks fredgeorgelover for encouraging me to keep my head up in the last post :)
