New homes for earthquake victims

Yay, the first batch of the new homes for the survivors of the May 12th, Wenchuan earthquake have been completed!  And before Chinese New Year too :D

Looks a little generic compared to the older homes pre-earthquake, but a roof over one's head is better than none I guess.  These have been built to withstand magnitude 8 earthquakes, hopefully the local governments didn't scrap and scrim on the funds distributed by the central government for the job like they did with the schools.

[EDIT]:  Oh, and according to a recent wiki-article on China's recent "crackdown" on internet porn:

"To control public opinion, Chinese authorities had used a sophisticated spin machine dubbed as "50-cent party." Tens of thousands of "internet commentators" were hired and paid 50 Chinese cents ($0.07; £0.05) for each positive posting on websites and forums that upload bad news."

--> At that going rate I should have made a small fortune off of the CCP by now, where's my money?!  The Chinese government owes me some big money for all the postings I've made in their defense AND going to that rally last April up on Parliament Hill in support of the Olympics (still waiting for my supposedly $300 cheque that the pro-Free Tibet side said we apparently got paid, and right now I can sure use $300 right about now -___-)
