|03:55 pm - The perfect job...and I didn't get it T__T|
I had an interview last week for a job as an assistant in an MP (Member of Parliament)'s office...it was so perfect. Full time, 6 months, I could've taken next semester off for a break from stupid textbooks and useless lectures, good pay, friendly co-workers...but I didn't get the job. IT WAS SO PERFECT!!!
Why, why, why, why???? When the person called to tell me I didn't get the job (at least they called to let me know) he said they were all impressed with the way I answered my questions in the interview and the way I carried myself...so whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy~?
I really, really, really, really wanted the job too. *Sigh* I need a job, I feel so freaking useless, like my life's going nowhere.
*hugs* I know what that feels like. It's almost like being rejected because you're 'overqualified'. Wth.
Next time ask them why.

I would completely agree with the above comment. You are a very articulate & well-rounded person, so I really can't think of a reson why you didn't get this position. I hope this doesn't discourage you from trying again in the future.-James
Um, I'm in your position, only without the job opening. School is useless, I'M useless, I need a job, and life's going nowhere.
But at least your fox is awesome.
Government jobs can be tricky because preference is usually given to people who can speak French fluently. It's also possible that the person who got the job had an internal reference.
I'll ask someone at work if there is a good website or other source to find government jobs for students!
Why? Maybe because there was someone with bigger links there, have you thought of it in this way? These jobs often get distributed "under the table" ;)
And things change so fast - today you feel useless, tomorrow you get an even more perfect job and you'll be happy ^__^
It happens...especially when its a job you really want too but don't lose hope. :(
they didn't tell you why you didn't get it?
os course... most places don't even tell me i didn't get it... i just assume so after so long of them not caling.
