|09:34 pm - First day of class, over and done~|
So, first day of classes over and done with. Wow the university was busy today, everyone was bustling about. I had USA History from 1945-Present first and then Intro to Methodology in Social Science. My prof from USA History's pretty cool, his humour's a bit lame, but at least he tries. He was telling us at the beginning of class that there's 2 driving forces behind the United States, historically and presently, though now one over-powers the other a bit. At first I was thinking in my head "what 2 forces, the only thing driving America is money, good ol' Capitalist system" and it turns out one of the forces my prof revealed really was the mighty $$ lol. The other was religion, which does make sense if you think about. My prof for methodology isn't so bad either, though I think just the word methodology makes my head droop in boredom, but so far from the way my prof lectured I think the class should be ok. So, two down, 3 more to go.
In between my two classes I had a 2 hour break (it's usually 1.5hrs but today the first class let out early) and I ran into sev0109 and Takumi during that time and we chatted a bit. Did some roommate ranting, don't-wanna-be-back-yet whining, and just hung around. After my last class, I met up with platinum_ice to go to the mall and got some necessities for my bunny. On the bus that we took there, after we had gotten on, the bus driver started the bus just as I was going to sit down and I lost my balance and almost slammed head first into a chair and some guy XDD When I looked over again to say sorry I found the guy was actually kinda cute, talk about embarassing ^^;; It felt like such an anime moment lol. Me and platinum_ice were kinda high the whole time (not like, literally, I think maybe it's cuz it was the first day of classes or something) and so we had a pretty good time at the mall, and I vented some more about Angela.
*sigh* It's good to have friends, actually it's essential to have friends, friends you can vent and rant to/with is even better. Can't wait to get tomorrow out of the way and then it's the WEEKEND!!!! Yeah, yeah, I know, it'll only have been 2 days, but still, the weekend's better XDD
Current Mood: chipper
Yes the weekend! I can't wait. I am so tired I almost drifted off in SRS3318. I'm glad you had fun! Takumi and I didn't do much since my ride's prof never showed up so they wanted to go home early and thus we only got a bite to eat and went to the comic book shoppe for a bit. I bought Gakuen Heaven when I thought it was an OVA (which I didn't know if there was one). I don't know if I should return it and trade or keep it.
But we are going back Mon to have a better look around.
Anyway, have fun tomorrow!
I think Gakuen Heaven only has 13eps, no OVA's, not sure about the manga though...
Ah yes, I was blinded by the excitement. I'll probably return it ^.^ Too bad too.
lol i was pretty high lol.. but now i'm like so tired it's like i was literally on a high and now i'm in the "crash" part haha.. i guess it's time to shower and sleep.
fun times today! :D and then it's duckie dinner on saturday! yay!!
friends are so much awesome. *hugs*
Duckie dinner, duckie dinner!! Yay!!! Yumyum, can't wait!

I think it's so funny how in America we're all religion separate from state, but then gay marriage is sooo immoral in the eyes of God and must be banned. Get over yourself, people.
What country isn't run by $$-hungry people though? I think it's pathetic how people are so enthralled over something like that.
Today every, or I should say most just in case, countries are run by $$ but that's largely due to the fact that they're all trying to imitate the USA's capitalist system since it's been pushed as the best system over all others.
Historically that hasn't always been the case, many countries historically weren't run based on $$ and making as much $$ as possible, certainly there were always those in the elites and the aristocrats that sought after $$ but the countries themselves were based on more complex ideals and paradigms. the capitalist system of making $$ priority above all others hasn't historically been so accepted by many countries and even today you often hear people patronizing that "money isn't everything" or "money can't buy you happiness", etc., etc., all left-over beliefs from a time that other ideals were placed above the mighty $$.
It is fascinating that an entire country's driving force is based so heavily on $$ from its economics to its politics to its policies both domestically and internationally. More fascinating is that such a country has become the dominant super-power in the modern world.

I just have to say that I can not believe how stupid some people can be (I'm referring to what was in my LJ and I just had to tell you because I know you love stupid people).
Also, Gakuen Heaven has 13 episodes, yes~ :3 What a cute show.
Oh I _just_ finished reading that post of your's!! XDDD Yeah that's some moronic comment whoever that person was wrote hehe.
I wish we got to see more than just that little kiss at the end in that show ;___;

I can understand people not being able to get modern art; it is confusing. But this person claims to know what they're talking about. It pisses me off and amazes me.
Yes, the show I have to admit could have been better. I didn't mind just the kiss at the end, but it also had started out a bit slow. That and there were so many characters for something so short. :O
Yeah, like I myself haven't ever studied art or anything so looking at a lot of modern are I start feeling question marks flying around my head, but I mean I'm sure to the artist him or herself and people that understand it it's not just a bunch of lines and random brush-strokes.
The show was like a harem advertisement XD "Come one, come all and take your pick! Got a type to suit all tastes!" XDD
