|07:47 pm - OMG MY GRADES ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!! (Humble? Whats that? XDD)|
YES!! Don't mind the French, didn't expect to do too well in that class anyway, the prof had so many little tiny quizzes and this and that plus the fact that the entire class didn't understand 80% of what he was saying, as long as I passed, it's a relief. Anyway, that POL2108? Yeah that's the class that I totally bombed my second essay on Rousseau in, so I totally thought my marks was going to be at highest, a C, but NO IT'S A 'B+'!!!!!!!!!!! And you know what else is even better?? If I break down the marks in that class:
First essay: 17/20
Second essay: 15.5/35
Now, 10+17+15.5= 42.5% going into the exam.
I came out with a B+ meaning that my final mark had to be above 75. So let's say it's 77.
I GOT ALMOST PERFECT ON THAT FREAKING EXAM!!!!!!!!!!! OMGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And Chinese was a given A+ XDDD Omg, just need my marks for my Intro to Int.'l Dev. and Understanding Politics class which I'm sure will be at least a C+ AND MY CGPA IS UP IN THE SAFE ZONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOT!!!!!!!!!!! Soooooooooo happyyyyyyyyy~!!!!!!!!!!!!
... your classes have weird confusing names... what are they??? FLS2511 = french??? CHN2901 = chinese??? POL2108 = ...???
please... i'm really curious about this.
omg can't believe i did this but i forgot to tell you that those were really good marks and i'm happy for you.
Yep you've got the first 2 right:
CHN = Chinese
FLS = French
POL = Politics
and there's also
DVM = Development
SOC = Sociology
HIS = History
PSY = Psychology
BIO = Biology
CRM = Criminology
ENV = Environmental
ANT = Anthropology
ECO = Economics
ADM = Administration
and there's some more that I can't remember right now, but most of mine are POL or DVM since my program is in the politics field.
The numbers after it, the first digit is the year of the course, and the last three just used to identify the exact course. So:
POL 2108 = a 2nd year course titled "Introduction to Modern Political Though"
I also had last semester:
DVM 2105 = a 2nd year course titled "Introduction to International Development"
POL 1101 = a 1st year course titled "Understanding politics"
Even though I'm a second year student, I can still take 1st year courses or even 3rd year ones if I have the pre-requesites.
oh... ok. that's weird. its the numbers that threw me off. i have a grade 12 soc class now. and i had eco 11 last year. if it wasn't for the numbers i might have been less confused.
Oh yeah no, I'm in university, so it doesn't go by grade lol, well..they sort of do, but different than high school grades =D
And thanks for the congrats ^o^
yeah... i figured you were in university. if my grades stay alright then hopefully i'll be there next year.
thats very very good.. see last minute cramming helped :D :D
interesting subject codes....at least I can somewhat work out what subjects they are... ^^ my uni is wierd..say like for Japanese its ACJ2001 o.O;
ACJ??? O___o That IS weird, I think our Japanese class is JAP probably....and yeah, last minute cramming sooooo helped, I mean I know I said I was going to study hard this semester, but in all honesty, I just studied starting from the day before the exam whereas last year I didn't study at all. That one day made the difference between D-C and B-A?
(*CHEERS*) Ah~, I don't understand all the details yet...I'm not in University yet~^^
Thank you my dear~!! And don't worry, no hurry to be in this little hell hole, you guys are still on vacation aren't you? *pout*
I am...it's a very long winter vacation for me....what shall I do...since it's longer than usually, I don't know what to do...isn't that weird?^^
Lol, but it's better then getting sacked with 50 pages of readings on the first day XDD

Hey! Great job on the grades (btw, I feel you on the French mark lol). I did pretty well, my GPA was 3.6 so I'm not complaining. Keep up the good work,lol!-James
AWESOME job. Keep it up!!
Way to go! Ah the bell curve. Gotta love it ^__^
BTW, i'm surprised you're even allowed to take a Chinese class. A lot of times, they don't let you take it if you're already fluent.
Ok, I keep hearing about this bell curve in high school, but I never quite got what it was. I know it's got to do with marks but uh...what exactly is it? XDDD
