|12:52 am - Damn you Rousseau|
Yes I was suppose to have this summary done on Friday so I can do my other 2 this weekend. Yes I just finished it. So...1.5 more essays to go!....? Stupid research essay needing 8-10 sources, if it wasn't for that I'd be done it a looooooooong time ago! I just need to write two more pages (double spaced), just TWO more!! And then I've got to tackle that darn critique on Ajzenstat's stupid book (and yes it IS stupid, I'm not just saying that because I don't want to write the essay). Grrrrrrr...
But at least I'm finally done with darn Jean Jacques Rousseau, him and his freaking Origin of Inequality among Men. Sheesh, do I really CARE when inequality began? No. Do I care if inequality is naturally a part of humanity or if it's created by society? No. I just know it exists today and I don't like it. Thus, I need to either a) solve it or b) minimize it. If it's a part of human nature, tough, if it's engraved in society, we need to change some rules. Freak.
Ok. 1.5 more to go, 1.5 more to go.
[EDIT as of 3:42am]: @__@ My eyes are going in and out of focus on me, I think they're trying to tell me something. Well anyway, about 1 more essay to go~ I want to say I never want to hear about the Millennium Development Goals again, but that's impossible unless I switch programs or something x__X;; I must admit, I'm learning more this year than I ever remember learning in any previous school year. From all those political philosophers like Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Jean Jacques Rousseau to all these controversies circling democracy to the fight again poverty, it really feels like all this info's just kind of being jammed in there in a way that's sure not to be forgotten right after exams which is usually the case. It's kind of nice to finally feel like I'm actually LEARNING something in school, at the same time my head feels like it's going to explode any day now.
