|08:58 am - Back to Sept. 11|
Ok...apparently the bitch isn't just a Nazi when it comes to fandom (though she's toned it down a lot these days thankfully), but also a retard in regards to world issues. Reading her entry on Sept. 11 made me want to pull my hair out in frustration that she seems to have completely missed the point of the attacks:
For those that don't know her, she lives in Japan, so her entry started with:
"I'd have forgotten that it was 9/11 if all of my friends' journals weren't talking about it, too. It's just nowhere here. It's weird to think that something that was so huge doesn't mean anything to some parts of the world. I mean, who is Japan trying to fool by not caring? They have a huge chance of being next, and the 'next' being Tokyo. >.>;;"
1) Why should every nation in the world fucking mourn every single year for AMERICAN tragedies when it's a given that America doesn't do like-wise? Certainly to America it's a big deal, but to other nations? Whoop-dee-doo-da-day. Japan's not the only country that doesn't give a rat's ass my lovely air-head. Wake up and smell the Tim Horton's coffee sweetheart, but most of us can't WAIT for America's downfall and watch your retarded government get a taste of its own medicine. You think it's cold? Callous? Well why don't you ask yourself what the fuck YOU were doing when 800 000 Rwanadans got slaughtered in 1994?? What was your fucking GOVERNMENT doing?! How many INNOCENT civilians have died because of YOUR government alone?! Your own GOVERNMENT has sent you own PEOPLE into a war since Sept. 11 that has already gotten 2900+ soldiers killed. They weren't killed by terrorists or what-not, but by your OWN GOVERNMENT because Bush and Cheney and the like wants the oil profits! Who's cold and callous huh?!
2) Next, Japan will NOT be the next target on any terrorist group's list because they're not America's little lap-dog. Someone asked her this question too in the comments, and this was her response:
"Well, if they're targeting important trade places in the world, Tokyo is definitely in the top 5."
Is it just me or did she just completely miss the point of the attack? Those poor hijackers!! Sacrificing their lives and then only to have the bimbos of the nation completely misunderstand their attack!! They should've left a note somewhere in bright bold red font that said "WE'RE KILLING YOUR PEOPLE BECAUSE YOU KEEP STICKING YOUR HEAD IN WHERE YOU DON'T BELONG AMERICA AND WE'RE SICK AND TIRED OF IT!!!"
Here's another paragraph in her post, I skipped most of the rest cuz I'd've ended up with an essay picking her entry apart bit by bit:
"Interesting to remember. I can't see why anybody would be willing to die for such a cause as those suicide bombers did. What do they believe that they are doing? I don't understand what point they were trying to make. (That we were vulnerable, maybe?) I suppose that it takes all kinds. I can't think of any cause that I would be willing to die for. That's because I don't think that my death would ever be necessary to prove a cause. Death is never, ever the option. If you fight hard enough for what you believe in, in other ways, your voice will be heard. That's what I believe, anyways. Of course, heard and answered aren't always the same thing (as we know well from our parents)."
Of course you wouldn't understand bitch. You haven't lived in a country where time and again your government is chose not by the people, but by another government (aka the USA government). Your people aren't treated like little doggies by another nation who's simply interested in the black gold that's under the ground on your land. There ARE causes worth dying for, there are PEOPLE worth dying for. All this crap about if you fight hard enough you can get heard is bullshit for kids, grow the fuck up already. In the west these bombers/hijackers are seen as terrorists, but take a look at the history text books in the middle east a hundred years from now, and it's a safe bet to say it'll list them as heroes, willing to stand up against the American hegemonic rule.
You'd think with all the time she's spent in Japan she'd at least BEGIN to realize there's a world outside of America, but apparently she hasn't. Holy crap.

Bitter much? :/
Contrary to popular belief, I'm Canadian and I DO care about what happened on 9/11. Although I believe the American government was involved somehow (they were keeping tabs on the hijackers before 9/11, and they LET them into America), I still feel that the whole thing was a senseless act and shouldn't have happened. LJ drama and anti-Americanism aside, I don't think you should make sweeping assumptions like "America doesn't care about the world's tragedies."
I forsee a large flame war over this.
Well seeing as Canada's right next door to America so in one way or another we've gotta do some ass-kissing we've gotta care at least a bit. Heaven forbid America send a missile to Toronto because Parliament didn't set up some memorial or something on that day.
You can't seriously expect me to believe that America (and I meant the government in this case, should've calrified that back there) honest to goodness "cares" for other nations do you? I was watching a documentary on the Rawanda genocide and it was interviewing a survivor that escaped during the genocide to America to plead with that government to send troops, or at least get the UN to send troops to stop the killings. When she met with an official, I can't remember off the bat who it was, I think he was an advisor to the president or something (I can look it up if you'd like), the guy told her:
"America doesn't have friends, we have interests"
Ok, with comments like that coming from senior officials in that government...where's the care? Where's the heart? Where's the "we're doing this because it's the RIGHT thing to do"??
Well, I care only because I'm American/Canadian.
But, I agree with you. Not every nation has to mourn over America's loss.
And when she said that about Tokyo being next, I was like o_o;.
Yeah I was too lol! It just completely threw me for a loop because of all the nations I would think would be on a terrorist's hit-list, I would think Canada would be higher up than Japan xDD

That's because I don't think that my death would ever be necessary to prove a cause.
Oh-ho. This statement was so cute. Oh how wrong she is!
xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD She should go test out that theory ne?? xDD

Wow. She truly is one of the great intellects of our time.
I'm overwhelmed with her thoughtful analysis of world events.

Though, to be fair - since I've had a cheeseburger and am feeling much more magnanimous - Saito reflected upon 9/11 and said pretty much the same thing that Hinoai did. Other nations really do need to be more aware of terrorism, whether it's in their back yard or not.
We all need to be more aware, sadly. :(
I just read it. I don't think she's trying to see things in other people's perspectives at all. Not trying a bit!
That's what happens when one is self-absorbed and stuck in her own world.
Other people? Omg they exist?? That's most likely what's going through her mind -__-;;

lol honestly i don't think she was trying to provoke any thoughtful discussion on the matter and probably just half-assed some entry on it since the rest of her FL was mourning away she felt obligated as well. haha you really dislike this girl don't you....
Yeah can you tell? xDD Controlling the fandom the way she (along with that asshole capt_koki) was doing was bad enough, but I mean, that's just fandom, so we wangst a bit and big deal. But politics is another area entirely especially in this case since it's literally life and death situations. However I do think you're right that she just might've nailed something up for obligation sake, but if she was going to do that, I think it'd be better to just say she forgot than make a retard of herself.
hmm who's isn't Bush's lapdog these days? I mean seriously, Howard partically worships the ground he walks on ...tsk tsk
yeah, America isn't the centre of the world as much as she want it (American, not the blogger)
I think Howard supposes it to be us next..Sydney..I hope not or anywhere else for that matter knock on wood. >.<
hmm for me, I didn't realise it was the 11th to be honest not till I passed my ticket onthe way to the station and saw the date. And went sh't.. >.<;; that day ....
At the same time its like a battle between Christanity and Islam...*sighes* why world? Why can't we stop the useless killings and damn u Bush!!!!!!! there wasn't an excuse to go into IRAQ!
Cuz once the killings stop corporations like Carlyl that control United Defense and has Bush on it's board of directors can't sell their tanks and military equipment and thus can't make millions anymore. So all Bush baby has to do is drop a few bombs somewhere, stir up some conflict, and boom, Carlyl sells it's products, Bush makes more dough.

Whao! Whao! Whao! I understand your frustration over that girls comments (I mean, omg, was she pulling this stuff out of her ass), but I still think that we cannot say that one tragedy "trumps" another, be it by the number of dead, amount of destruction, etc. I understand your criticisms, but its pretty hard not to sympathize and feel the pain of the families of the people, and the American people, whom despite their flaws, deserve our empathy. Though it has been 5 years, it really only feels like yesterday.-James
Heh, of course it does, the media's only been reporting it just about ever single freaking day for all 5 years, no wonder it feels like yesterday xDD If they've been reporting on the Rawanda genocide all these years as diligently as they have this, if they heaven forbid even bother to MENTION the genocide around the April area then that'd feel like it was fucking yesterday too.

O_O WHY TOKYO!!!!??????????
That aside, yea, our government does suck. x_x Bah. Dammit. Have you seen the documentary "Loose Change" on Google Vidoes that a person investigated the whole 9/11 as an incident the American gov. planned out? It's very interesting, even though I'm not sure if it's true or not.
x_x And I live in Cali, too, where we have our "governator". Yarg.
OMG YOU'VE SEEN THAT VIDEO?!?!?!?!??!?!? AWESOME!!! Yeah one of my prof's last year was talking about the conspiracy theory and when I made a post on it a friend of mine commented and linked me to the video:http://koneko-desu.livejournal.com/69093.html
But it was a really really interesting video, and more and more I'm starting to think the American government had SOMETHING to do with the attack.
