10:36 pm - Trip update~

Sooooo~ tired =___=;;  I was planning to just come back to Beijing and see the family but my dad planned out all these sightseeing places OTL  Beijing's weather is really hot and muggy, and the smog is icky.  The pollution here is even worse than I remember last time >__<  I mean even though some of the low visibility and fog-like atmosphere is due to the season but clearly this city's air isn't very clean.  They really need to find a way to work that out fast because otherwise this city's not very live-able /A\

If I was in Nagasaki (where it's even hotter than here) I'd be lounging in my apartment with the AC blasting, but now I'm running around outside sweating up a storm.  Plus the family's been pulling the "we're family so since you're visiting please spend our money :D" trick on me again, like last time.  My dad told me I can use his money while I'm here, which I was iffy but ok with, I mean he's my dad and all, but then the aunts, uncles and cousins started too, so now I feel like a big leech.  I'm almost too afraid to come visit again, I feel like whenever I come they all have to put their lives on hold and come keep me company while spending their money.  And since it's their money I never feel like actually going shopping, even though China has so much cool stuff for cheap (granted "cheap" after I convert to CAD/YEN), and I can't just wander over to shopping centres myself since I don't know the city (plus the store clerks here scare me, I can't barter and their attitudes aren't...shall we say as warming as those in Japan...one of the many things I've come to notice on this trip.

*Sigh* Ah well, it's just a week, sucks I have to work the day after I go back to Nagasaki though, I think after this trip I feel more tired than anytime during the past 8 months of working  TAT

Honey, I deeply sympathize.

I'm always super excited about going back to Beijing, but right after I get there for like 3 days, I can't wait to go back home. I mean, I love Beijing and it's a great city in many aspects, and I miss it a lot when I'm not there, but I just can't live there ;_;

Yeah, I have the same thing going on here. Today we went shopping for some clothes and thankfully most of the store clerks were pretty nice (though they don't seem able to smile). This one chick at the restaurant we had lunch was so rude though, good grief. If she was working for me she'd be fired on the spot >__<

The drivers here, too, are still impatient and horn-crazy. This is the only place I've been where pedestrians have to stop for cars -____-;;

Too many people, too hard to control all of them.

Next time I'm going to try and avoid summer in Beijing at all costs, this weather can literally kill someone x__X;;
