MMmm... Oh Happy Birthday China~!!!!

I still believe the government is corrupt. Is China ever planning to become a democracy?

No government is without corruption. As long as a government is run by human beings there will be corruption.

As for democracy, if you mean the Western type of liberal democracy with mass elections I doubt it, and thank the heavens because if they tried the country would collapse, much like the former Soviet Union did. I don't understand why people take democracy as if it's the goal to reach. It's a stupid goal because democracy itself doesn't mean anything. A country can be democratic and still the people can be suffering, poor and without the basic necessities of life. Democracy doesn't guarantee that. At the same time, any other system doesn't automatically mean that the people are suffering, poor and hungry. I personally believe that putting a political system as a goal to reach instead of using political systems as a means to reach the ultimate goal of bringing the people of a nation prosperity and happiness is quite a disillusioned goal.
