|08:32 pm - Holidays and the coming semester|
Back in Ottawa and back to routine! What a crazy holiday. I miss my mom already, insane how easily emotions and affections change depending on the situation lol. She's really the greatest mom a person can ask for, and I wish there's some way I can show her how much I appreciate all that she's done for me. I hope so much that one day I'll get a good, steady job with a good pay and can support her financially so she doesn't have to worry about money for the rest of her life and can do whatever she wants, travel, start her own business, whatever she wants (of course the side benefit is that I, too, would most likely be riding in the easy lane of life under those circumstances lol).
Other than the traditional going home, I got to see and hang out with a friend that I haven't seen for a long time which was cool. We went to Toronto for a few days and saw the Sweeney Todd movie starring Johnny Depp and Enchanted. Both movies were quite entertaining, I won't comment on the acting and singing skills since I honestly think that depends on individual opinions and tastes, but I personally enjoyed them, not in the "omg-must-buy-must-have" way but an enjoyable usage of...however long the movies were.
Oh and I'm insanely happy my weight didn't skyrocket like last year during the holidays.
Soo~, second semester starts on Monday, not really looking forward to that. My marks for first semester also aren't posted yet, slow as ever university administration/profs. Looking to change the background pic of the journal again, I think I'll use the same photos and designs (maybe a bit less busy) and just drop the Christmas colours. I do so enjoy seeing Osa everytime I check my journal. Looking forward also to my order from yesasia coming in. On top of that I'm contemplating going to Japan to teach this summer if I can't find a suitable summer job here in Ottawa. Anyone on my f-list (aside from _pseudonym) been to Japan to teach? Any tips? Tourist VISA vs. working holiday VISA? TESOL certificate (or some other kind of teaching certificate) necessary or not? Busy, busy second semester, never a dull day ^^;; Ah~ the joy of youth.
Lucky, school started the day after New Years for me...
...I spent the entire day nodding off U_U;
