10:16 am - Pepsi worshiper's come a-calling
Oh lookie!!  A Pepsi worshiper's come a-calling!!  (Sorry, I am not going to type out Diet Pepsi Max every single time, that is just tedious).  I do so love patronizing these types of people, they are so irritable and quick to anger...kind of like the politicians in the House of Commons during questions period.  You would think that such high-profiled people would have the courtesy to state their questions and arguments calmly and politely, boy was I mistaken.

There have been times in the past where I wish I can just forget all my morals and ethics, at least in regards to corporations and just enjoy their products.  Forget about Coke's use of violence in Columbia to subdue workers, forget about GAP's sweatshops in China, forget about NIKE's workers getting 3 cents an hour in Indonesia, forget about all the pollution from gas-guzzling cars, forget about all of that, and just chug down a Coke with no guilt, wear corporate-made clothes with no shadowy conscience whispering in my mind, oogle openly at those racy sports cars without looking up at the sky hesitating to take a breath.

Then, it never fails that along comes a corporate worshipper and within the first 5 seconds of conversing with him/her my morals and ethics flood back into me ten times as strong as before.  They probably lead a happier life, not looking around everyday in their closet and seeing 13 year old children trying to support a family of 8 on an 8 cents an hour job at a clothing factory in a run-down slums area of a developing country, after all, ignorance is bliss, regardless of whether it's acknowledged ignorance or unrecognized ignorance, but me?  Well, it seems the life of an ostrich just isn't for me, so I always end up pulling my head out of the sand and taking a look at the often-times bleak reality.

After all, only when one recognizes the problems can one start to attempt at mending it.

They are a totally pathetic breed of people: those blinded by a blanket of money.

And thus why I do not aspire to be rich in monetary terms.

Sadly so isn't it? It also seems to be consistently so throughout human history D:

Slightly tangential I know, but I thought that Pepsi Max was Diet Pepsi in a different bottle- what's Diet Pepsi Max supposed to be?

I have no idea, something about it having some ginseng and a lemony taste? Probably just added some more chemicals to it to clog your arteries faster and kill you sooner. They have to come out with something new (or at least named differently) every once in awhile or else there's nothing to get the worshippers hyped up over and lure in new consumers.
