06:07 pm - Boyfriend problems?
What would you do if one of your best friend's boyfriend pisses you off so much you want to punch him in the nuts?

What would you do if said boyfriend is completely paranoid and dislikes your friend talking to ANYONE of the opposite gender (assuming you're heterosexual)?

What would you do if said boyfriend gets suspicious and pissy when your friend (same gender as you) goes out shopping even with YOU?

What would you do if your friend and said boyfriend got into a fight because your friend got caught talking to a CO-WORKER?

What would you do if your friend insists that said boyfriend is not at fault and still insists she loves him?

I honestly can't believe that in Canada, in the 21st century, there are such intolerant, jealous, petty, suspicious, paranoid and childish people.  Why my friend likes this guy I'll never understand, I would personally never even consider such a person as a friend or even an acquaintance much less someone more special.

If this is the choice selection when it comes to boyfriends am I ever glad I'm still single.  Actually if it came down to just this selection I think I'll go lesbian.

1) Avoid being around him whenever possible.

2) Think he's a git and continue not having anything to do with him.

3) Think he's an overly-needy bastard with control issues and stay the hell away.

4) File a restraining order.

5) Check her into a mental institution, as clearly she is bonkers.

Thank you, it's good to know I'm not the only one who thinks this dude's a bit screwy in the head.

I know its amazing that stupid people can exist anywhere.

But, uhm, yeah. If she wants to be with him its her choice in the end. You've let her know how you feel so what happens happens.

Not all guys are like that and it is not the 'choice selection' as much as the 'stupid selection'. If she's been with him long enough, she probably doesn't even know there are better guys out there.

Yeah it was such a shock to me that such controlling freaks exist, I mean you always hear about them on talk shows but you never think you'd actually meet one.

for the first one... i pretend i like him enough to get along with him infront of her. of course... him being terrified of me helps.

boys are stupid. and that's my belief.

"boys are stupid."

Please, that's just an overused generalization.

Like how men think women are confusing.

Oh she knows I don't like him all that much, he ignores me whenever me (or any of her other friends) and them are all together. I don't know, for my ex-boyfriend he was super eager to get along with my friends and I was the same with his friends but this dude just like, ignore's all the friends of the girlfriend and far too often she ends up not coming to hang out with us on outtings or whatever because she feels like she's gotta cook him dinner or she's not spending enough time with him and he's getting pissy or something. Crappy relationship if you ask me.

i called my friend up one day when i was in a really bad mood and ranted for a bit that her boyfriend was an ass. that night she went and broke up with him over it. but they started going out again the next morning.

my friend's boyfriend does pretty much the same thing with me and the rest of her friends. but for awhile he was pretending that he liked us. and then told her that he actually hated us all.

Hahaha, I think at least once in a person's life they'll get involved in a relationship that is just totally...wrong. She probably knows it's wrong but doesn't want to listen to that nagging lil boice. That guy sounds like a total jerk!

That dude you met when we sidewalk chalked some years back was like that. I was dating him despite not even liking him and knowing i was mostly gay. Now looking back on it I am like WHAAAAT. And I got pretty entangled in it at the time!

She'll get out of it and learn from it. hopefully sooner rather than later.

I hope so, learn from experience ne? I suck at giving relationship advice because my philosophy is basically if the dude's making you super unhappy so much then ditch the guy and find another one (or just go single, no problems with that). Plenty of fish in the see these days, why get so serious with one so early. If you happen to find one you really like and the feeling's mutual well great, but you know if it doesn't work move along. Cry a bit if you need to, have some sleep-overs with friends to vent, let out some frustration and try try again :D

1. He is insane...maybe insecure.. :/
2. Just because your in a relationship doesn't mean you own the person completely.. :?

What would you do if your friend insists that said boyfriend is not at fault and still insists she loves him?

I worry for that. So if its not his fault..then who is it? As it can't be surely her's :| :| :|

same here.I'm single too and I'm glad to. I mean petty jealously.. who needs that seriously?
