Whoa, what a day!  Just going to scribble down the main events and go into detail later once my roomie sends me the photos we took =^-^=

So, today, me, my roomie Angela, and her friend Takae took a tour around Ottawa.  Takae came from Japan to Vancouver where she met Angela.  She's going back to Japan soon, so she came down to Ottawa to visit Angela.  Last night, I lured Takae into my room using the Death Note anime (XDD)  and conveniently showed her my Tenimyu collection along with showing off my knowledge of Japanese idols *snicker*  Of course I mentioned Kazuki to her, time and time again, also Kimeru, D-Boys (she knew Yuu!!), and Johnnys of whom she's of course heard of.  I also showed her lj, the comms, and all the places we get to download scans, mp3's, videos, etc. from.  She was really impressed that we had so many ways to obtain these things, especially since during the year and a half that she's been in Canada, she didn't even know how to get most of these shows (like Hana Yori Dango, Nobuta wo Produce, etc.)

Today, first, we went to Byward Market where I bought her a Dream Catcher and a Beaver Tail, about as Canadian as you can get XD  Then we headed to Parliament Hill.  We went up the Peace Tower to the observation deck, sat in on a House of Commons debate as well as a Senate sitting, the setting's so...tense in there, and with all the security milling about, I felt so uncomfortable, as if they suspect each of us civilians to be assassins or something.  I mean I realize they need security and all, but...can't they use plain-clothed ones instead?  It's almost like they're just waiting for us to make a wrong turn so they can yell at us ;__;   Afterwards, we walked down Sparks St., nothing special there, then headed for the Canadian Mint where we planned to steal a few gold bars, but it was already closed.  Instead, we walked over the bridge to Hull and toured the Canadian Civilization Museum and watched an IMAX movie.  The museum was boring (sorry, never was the type to get hyped for museums ^^;;), but the movie was fun!  By now we were getting really tired, but we buckled up, sang a few verses of Do Your Best (ok, _I_sang a few verses) and walked back into Ottawa to eat dinner at a Japanese restaurant and then some bubble tea.

I'm really tired, but it's been a super fun day.  Takae's so polite and sweet and me...er...well I was my usual insane crazy self.  Kazuki this, Kazuki that, by the time we were eating dinner, Takae said whenever I go to Japan I have to let her know so she can gather some Kazuki stuff for me XDD  Ah it's so much fun, after watching anime, reading manga, reading up on the country time and again, it's awesome to meet someone actually FROM that culture and get questions answered first hand.  Anyway, expect a photo report of the day soon~

^_^ Sounds like you had an awesome time!
Okay, make note of all those things you did so that we can do them on spring break, eh? And of that Japanese restaurant. *nod nod*

Deathnote anime was wicked, eh? Man oh man... I really liked the animation for it. The manga was pretty dark and I think they captured that fairly well.
