|10:45 am - Cooking 101~|
Yoshii~ Mengya's on the road to learning how to cook without burning the house down!! Yatta~!! Here're this week's innovations...they're not as freaky looking as I thought they'd turn out to be XD (any suggestions, cooking tips, easy dishes I should try etc. are more than welcome~!!)
That's cauliflower with ground beef and Terriyaki sauce. I put a little too much salt in it x: But otherwise it was pretty good, next time I'll have to just leave the salt out seeing as the Terriyaki sauce gave enough flavour.
Pancakes!!! I bought this kind of mix that you just have to add water to, no eggs or milk needed, so it was fairly simple, however, at first whenever I tried to flip it, the pancake would smoosh into this clump .__. So my roomie told me I should wait a little longer until I can see that the edge has already cooked before I flip it =^-^=
This one's uh...cauliflower...ground beef, and this kind of Asian sausage thingy. It too came out a bit salty since the meat soaked up most of the salt and the sausage was already flavoured to begin with, next time I'll have to cook the cauliflower first and put the salt in THEN put the meats in.
Scrambled eggs for a healthy Saturday morning breakfast!! :D Yay~!
Whew, cooking's hard work man, but lots of fun I'm finding (although that could just be since I've just started, so it's like getting a new toy...once the novelty wears off I'll probably be back to KD XDD). I hate washing dishes though D: Those are a pain, espcially if you have to scrub at things that stuck to the pan.
This weekend my roomie plans to teach me to make tacos! MMmm..I love tacos...and I think later on I'm gonna get my mom's recipe for making spare ribs and fish, those 2 are her best dishes =*-*=
I'm doing my best!!! Ganbatte!!

YEPPPPPP! Cooking is very fun! >D
Eggs and ketchup. Yummy. Just my kind of food. >D
DO YOUR BEST! *is rooting* xD
weee! I love cooking. No novelty here! Haha it would have worn off years ago. Next you need to start baking! That's much easier because as long as you follow the recipe, things should work out. I'd start off by baking cookies. Toll House chocolate chip cookies are a really good easy recipe. My favourite think to cook is soup! And stir fry. Learn to stir fry.. mmmmm. Toss all your veggies in a wok with a bit of oil, then throw in some sauce. Then onto some rice! Tasty.
Baking eh? Last time I tried to bake cookies in my Food and Nutritions class, I set the oven mitts on fire XDDD But I think that'd be fun...mmm cookies *-*
Hmm...I don't think we have a wok in the house, just small pans...but I guess I can do miniature stir fries XDD

Ketchup on eggs!! DISGUSTING!! And cauliflower D:
Otherwise, damn do they look yummy!! x.x
I love scrambled eggs with ketchup ;__; and cauliflower too *sniff* It's yuuuuuuuuuuummyyyyyyyyyy!!! XD
Oh gross, you're one of those people who puts ketchup on eggs! blergh, kds
That food looks pretty tasty! I don't really know how to cook either.. all I can manage is raw food on a plate and soup ;_; Although stuff-in-a-blender and stuff-in-a-pan seems to work out more often than not. Uh, so, that's my contribution for easy stuff to make -o-)/
and ..tacos!? I'm so jealous! post some pictures when you're done~ :9
raw food on a plate?? O__o;; Like...plop a raw fish on a plate and dig in?? XD
..stuff that is normally eaten raw :p
neat neat I'm very proud of you Mengya! <3333
hmm Asian sausauge...i thinks judging from the pic Chinese sausage. ^_____^
The teriyaki looks better then mine. Did you make the sauce from the beginnin? *curious* hmm, have you try making onigiri for lunch? Its pretty good and you have almost any filling.
Another one, seeing the egg just reminded me thats all hehe omirasu? its a Japanese dish, where there's red rice in the egg.
ehh? washing the dishes a fun!!! its the drying that gets me..play with the bubbles..yes i'm a sad sad person XDDD
Ah no no, the sauce came pre-made lol. Ooh Japanese dishes *-* Yummy, Onigiri sounds awesome, and then I can be all cool and bring bentos to school and stuff XDD

ohh you should try making omurice, it's so good! the red rice is from the ketchup, but you have to try a japanese style ketchup...
